A Partial History Between Two Columns

On Friday, June 24th, 2011, I performed A Partial History Between Two Columns as part of Performance Space 122’s RetroFutureSpective.  The performance was a twelve-minute celebration of P.S. 122 and its artists and ushers, technicians and squatters, ghosts and dogs.  The full text from the piece is posted here, and there’s a video posted here.

Also, as part of the project, I continued my efforts to collect on-the-record accounts of off-the-record events by interviewing attendees and participants of RetroFutureSpective, piecing together a composite of memories and rumors to illustrate a history of our beloved 150 First Avenue.

Interviews were conducted following the performance events each evening, from Wednesday, June 22nd through Saturday, June 25th.  These conversations will be included in my larger oral history project, which is currently in-progress.
